Dwayne Crandall Wed May 7 05:45:42 1997 Isaac O. CLARY was born in Daviess County, Indiana in 1824 son of David CLARY. By 1846 Isaac was in Clinton County, IL for about 7 years. He and his family relocated to Linn County, KS where he and son George W. served in the civil war. By 1874 George had gone to Sedan, Chautauqua County, KS. Isaac and his 1/2 brother Dr. Hiram Thomas CLARY had moved to Winfield. Although Isaac had land interests in Stillwater, Payne Co., Oklahoma and is found there in the 1890 veterans' census, I believe he was buried in or near Winfield per a Cowley County Probate Petition and Affadavit of Death. Date of death was 19 Oct. 1895. In 1888 Isaac married Nancy A. Campbell in Cowley County. Nancy was born in Illinois in 1858. This marriage occured after an earlier marriage to Ellen Jane Freeland. He and Nancy had no children; however, by Ellen he had 8 children to go along with three children (1 or 2 from his marriage to Susan Louisa WHITE and one from a previous marriage). His 11 children settled along the eastern section of Kansas, western part of Missouri, or Northeast Oklahoma. Hiram and his two sons remained in Winfield before Hiram moved to Kansas City, shortly before his death in KC in January 1910. Looking to fill in many gaps, including location of burial for Isaac.
