Would like to know if anyone knows location of grave of AMELIA ONYET DUNCAN, died Mound City, KS, April 21, 1883. If so, what is name of cemetery, inscription on tombstone, etc.?
Does court house have death certificates for that year? If so, who to contact for it?

I am searching for my grt Grandfather's family in Linn County just outside Parker Kansas. My grt grt Grandfather was Jeremiah Vardeman Cockrell who went by "Jerry" or "Vard" Cockrell. He was born in MO. and married Mary Ann Loveless. They came to Linn. County and my grt Grandfather Milborn L. Cockrell was born and became a Cattleman in Parker. Milborn married Florence Caskey and they had two daughters: Valeta and Calata Louise "Peggy" Cockrell-Baker(My Grandmother). Other Surnames are Oakley, Archer,Lovelace,Wollard. My Great and Great Great grandfathers lived in Linn Co. Ks. Several years ago a Schriver family history was offered for sale by someone from this part of Ks. and unfortunately I did not take advantage of the offer. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I am interested in locating information on Richard Crabtree, born about 1852, and married Sarah Belle Henderson on December 25, 1877, in Linn County, Kansas. They had 5 children Marion b. 1879, Mary Ann b. April 1884, Mattie Lee b. January 1885, Arthur William b. May 1888 and Alma May b. August 1890 all born in Kansas except Mattie Lee was born in Missouri. Sarah Belle Henderson Crabtree married Harvey E. Hutton on May 30, 1909 in Rich Hill, Bates County, MO. I would like information as to where Richard was born, his parents, his siblings and when he died. Thank you.

I have been searching a long time for proof of my ancestor's location and the name of my grandfather's parents, siblings and his place of birth. My grandfather was James A. Crabtree born March 28, 1853, and died November 23, 1927, in Goodrich, Linn County, KS. He married Sarah Serena Robbins on October 13, 1879. I live in La Cygne and may be able to help you. This is not my family, I am just a hisorian who likes to help.
I have Samuel Santee O'Neal born 1 Jan. 1833 Johnson co., Indiana, married 21 Nov. 1858 in Atchison co., Mo. and died 18 March 1910 Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Obit in La Cygne Journal 25 Mar. 1910. He was in the Civil War 12 Mo. Cav. and 9th Mo. Cav.
Married Jane Walkup who died 17 July 1900. Obit listed 5 children 2 dying in infancy. No names.
I do not have the O'Neal you want but if you have dates I may be able to find him.

I am looking for any info or death & burial of Evelyn Francis Rauch Loveall BORN 1839-43 VA, md. to Benjamin Franklin Loveall 1860, children: Benjamin Walker1867-1935,Elizabeth Virginia 1867-1947 & Evelyn Matilda 1871-1940. She was said to have been in a hospital in Blue Mound and died about 1879.

My ancestor Marenus Symonds and his wife Clarie Symonds migrated to La Cygne, Linn County in 1882. They were famers and stayed there about two years before going on to Fontana, Miami Co. KS. I am trying to locate the buriel sites for them. I had no luck in Miami Co. so they suggested I look in Linn Co. Marenus Symonds died in 1905 and Clarie died in 1923. There is a record of Marenus death but nothing on Clarie also known as Mary Clarissa. Would appreciate any information I can find. Thank you, Cordelia

Teresa, There is no Kansas 1850 Census. Kansas was not a Territory yet. Kansas opened up in March 1854. The first Census is 1860 which you can find online at Ancestry.com for a fee.

According to the book "100 Cemeteries and Buriel Sites in Linn County, KS", the maiden name of Lizzie Atkinson was Kettler. She was the daughter of William Kettler and Minnie Brown. Lizzie and John B. are both buried with Charles in the Littell Cemetery. Also buried there is G.W. Atkinson , wife Francina Atkinson nee' Roberts, Hattie Atkinson (daughter), and William M. Atkinson.
